| Bathroom Envy Hot Tubs Buyer Information Guide |
Electrical and Water RequirementsElectrical RequirementsIt is recommended that all hot tubs be permanently connected (hard-wired) to the power supply using: A single-phase 240-volt power supply with a 30ma R.C.D (E.L.C.B) fitted at the fuse board. There will need to be an Isolator – minimum 2 metres from the water and a cable run to the back of the tub with a 4 metre tail. NB. Our installers will only be responsible for the connection of this tail to the spa control panel (located behind the timber access panel). We insist that a qualified electrician in accordance with IEE regulations carry out all work. Water RequirementsFilling: A garden hose is needed, preferably attached to the rising main. We recommend you test the water for a short period before filling to ensure no dirt from the hose is carried in. Emptying: A garden hose pushed on to a spigot is used and run to a drain. Chemicals: We insist on the purchase of a chemical pack to commission your hot tub (the first set included as standard with each of our Hot Tubs). This is for safety reasons so that we can chemically treat the spa immediately and demonstrate usage for the future.
